The original video of Mad World. (the one by Gary Jules, of course. By original, I meant the actual Gary Jules one, not the Donnie Darko one. There. Happy? I am heavily aware of the fact that TFF did a video long before Gary. I knew before I posted the video. You'd think that one of the progenitor of the video would know these things.) Throughout the video children are making animated figures on the sidewalk below. (the song was featured in the movie Donnie Darko. If you haven't seen it, seriously consider it.)
Impressive. One of this video watcher a "live book" about Armstrong. His message:---------------------- --------------Hi David,Sorry for taking so long to reply. I'm not on that video nor was I there. I'm a life-long Louis Armstrong nut so I know when he did everything. There are two books that I get my information about videos from, "All Of Me-The Complete Discography of Louis Armstrong" by Jos Willems & "Louis Armstrong On The Screen" by Dr. Klaus Stratemann. The Louis clip you posted is from the first of two BBC-TV shows. Each show was 45 minutes & they were taped on the same day, July 2, 1968. Aside from Louis the rest of the band is Tyree Glenn-trombone, Joe Muranyi-clarinet, Marty Napoleon-piano, Buddy Catlett-bass & Danny Barcelona-drums. Louis died three years later, on July 6, 1971. He was only on the road full time for another two months after this clip. By mid September of 1968 he was seriously ill in the hospital & was out of commisiion for most of 1969. I hope that's enough information for you.Best wishes,Phil------------------- ----------Phil, I am very been thankful by the information. Thank you so much.
USA for Africa (United Support of Artists for Africa), was the name under which forty-five predominantly U.S. artists, led by Harry Belafonte, Kenny Rogers, Michael Jackson, and Lionel Richie, recorded the hit single "We Are the World" in 1985. The song was a US and UK Number One for the collective in April of that year. The considerable profits from the enterprise went to the USA for Africa Foundation, which used them for the relief of famine and disease in Africa; critics, however, claim that this money went directly to the (often military) governments of the affected countries rather than the people.A recording of the live performance was released with the Live Aid DVD set released on November 8, 2004.

A Second Life Machinima by Robbie Dingo. (Duration 4'17")"Frameless heads on nameless walls, with eyes that watch the world and can't forget - like the strangers that you've met". [Don McLean].Ever looked at your favorite painting and wished you could wander inside, to look at it from different perspectives? Spend a single day in one of mine, from early sunrise on a new day, to dusk when lights come on in cosy homes; through a peaceful night, till morning.Shot on location in Second Life then post-produced, this was an idea I had a while ago. The Sim in this work was on temporary loan so it's all been swept away now, leaving only the film behind. It was always intended however that the video would be the end product, not the build. This work is dedicated to the many weird and very wonderful strangers from around the globe I have met, but have never really met.Higher quality version is available over at my blog. Search for 'My Digital Double Robbie' in Google. For more info on how this was put together, please read http://nwn.blogs.com/nwn/2007/ 7/remake-the-star.html#more over at New World Notes.
cat stevens '71Cat Stevens the performer is what this video is about. The deal with Islam and such has nothing to do with this. No religious beliefs are perfect, you must use your own mind and creativity. Religion is a guidance not a law in which to punish and hate. Rock on my brothers and sistas from around the world...
