(Part 1 of 2) A compatibility test of the NES capabilities of the Retro Duo (RetroDuo) system performed live during the March NAVA Meeting at the Digital Press store in Clifton NJ. This video is NOT intended to show the visual quality or clarity of the games tested, simply that they are compatible with the 8-Bit NES side of the Retro Duo system. The opinions and views of Frankie and Lissette are not those of www.DigitPress.com or The Digital Press Store.

Here's my compatibility test and analysis of the Retro Duo Famiclone system. As an NES, it leaves a bit to be desired. Audio sounds great for the most part, but there is a vertical line pattern in the video. SNES support is near perfect, and nothing looks better on a modern television. As it has been stated elsewhere, use composite plugs for NES and S-Video for SNES to achieve the best image, which is what my captures used.Games in this video:1943A Boy and His Blob -- Trouble on BloboloniaBlaster MasterCastlevaniaCastlevania II: Simon's QuestCrystalisDr. MarioDragon WarriorDragon Warrior IIDragon Warrior IIIFinal FantasyGauntlet IIGradiusKirby's AdventureLegacy of the WizardLegend of ZeldaLife Force
This is me playing a very old, beat up cartridge of SMB3 (it doesn't even have the plastic on it) on a RetroDuo.At some points my friend decides to jiggle the cart a bit.
This is not a speed run. This is a video of me casually playing through the entirety of Mega Man 6 in one sitting in anticipation for the upcoming Mega Man 9.The video isn't of the highest quality, and it skips a tiny bit during both Wind Man's stage and during some of Dr. Wily's castle. Sorry about that. This was recorded not from an emulator, but rather from an actual Mega Man 6 cartridge in a RetroDuo game system. It should be fairly evident that I am not the best Mega Man player in the world. I die a lot, particularly in Plant Man's stage (I would fastforward through that one if I were you). However, I do obtain all the BEAT parts, and I never get a game over. I don't obtain Energy Balancer though. For more information on Mega Man 6, visit it's Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Man_6
Last part. Two NES games and all my SNES games, save for Super Mario RPG. As I have one of the Japan-made copies, I'm assuming that it's a revision 1.1 or 1.2, containing the copy protection that locks out clone hardware. Aside from that, all my other games work.
