NYC Trip, Waterfalls, A Visit With Tribester
NYC Trip, Waterfalls, A Visit With Tribester

Nothing drives home my value like looking across a table at someone and telling them something they didn't know which could change their entire business. I am […]
Yesterday I was in New York City being a good consultant and meeting with clients and doing some business development with people I'd really want to work with. Nothing drives home my value like looking across a table at someone and telling them something they didn't know which could change their entire business. I am a virtual creature, I rarely have a client I've met in person, or even works in the US.
Not to mention the fact that it felt great to get out of my office and Boston for the day, break the routine and experience new things. Today I feel like a million bucks. Can I also just say that I love taking the Acela train? Smooth ride, 110 volt power and plenty of leg room. can get a lot done on a train even without wifi.
First I ventured downtown to meet with a startup in Wall Street. I used to live across from the Knitting Factory in Tribeca and it was fun to be back in the 'hood. Ground Zero still chokes me up to this day, the heavy emotional vibe will never go away.
After a nice lunch in the East Village and a view of the Waterfalls, I went uptown to get a demo of a new social dating startup launching soon. The Waterfalls in NYC were a let-down, at least compared to Cristo's Gates. One of them wasn't even working.
Tribester is being billed as the hip, free alternative to JDate plus a whole lot more. Tribester will be a full-featured Jewish social networking site and also a full-featured Jewish dating site.
The site is being launched by Letmypeoplego, who throw a roving NYC party on December 24 ("The Ball") that has been the country's biggest Jewish Singles event 14 years in a row (4,300 people attended last year). Most likely the country's biggest singles event of any kind. The founders have plans to use their new platform to target other demographics, as well. Tribester is set to launch in early Fall.
I love seeing people's labors of love before they launch, as opposed to afterwards. I cannot tell you how many times people come to me complaining about their site, the software, developers abandoning them, etc. Contact me BEFORE you get started and avoid a lot of the missteps dating sites go through during the critical early phases.
I'm feeling pretty positive about Tribester, alpha glitches and all. Some very smooth features and functionality, reminded me of a Jewish Meeta. Meeta is run by members of the PerfectMatch Mafia, which is similar to the PayPay Mafia.

Hey guys, What I want to talk about today is an attraction killing habit many men engage in without even knowing it. What is this habit? Constantly questioning yourself. Now, I don't mean questioning yourself in a good way such…

The rhythm of love
Hey guys, Ah, what a great song that is–Rhythm of Love by the Scorpions, back when rock -n roll ruled the scene, not this gawd-awful whiney alternative trash. While it is a great song, there is a lesson the title–"rhythm."…
